It's being reported that Steve Jobs has died. A great loss to the tech industry.

Not just to the tech industry -- to the world. His vision transformed the way people all over the world use technology. Love him or hate him, he was a true transformational leader, and brought technology in so many ways to the masses. Think Differently. He sure did.

Sad news. I could only imagine what another 30+ years of Steve Jobs would have brought us...

Things that spring to mind for the last 30...

Apple computers
Pixar
Macs (from NeXT)
iPod
iPhone
iPad

Not to mention getting all these things to work in new and innovative ways...

I watched the "Let's Talk iPhone" Keynote last night and noticed the empty chair in the front row with the "Reserved" notice on it. Now it seems a bittersweet acknowledgment that Steve was going to be missed.
