Hello Everyone: I'm in the Seattle, Washington area this week as my wife's father passed away and we're visiting her mother. Her mother would like to get rid of the big TV and have it set up so she can watch TV on her computer via a flat screen on the wall. I told about the satellite sytem I have and she seemed pretty interested in the idea.

Does anyone here use a sat system to watch the tube on their PC? If so, is it similar to a regular KU system amd setup? Thanks!!!

I use the DVB World USB receiver to watch FTA satellite on my PC monitor. Its exactly the same as a FTA receiver and can even motor a dish! The down side is it has no blind scan, no big deal to me! I watch 4:2:2 and HD on it and it plays the AC3 audio right through the PC speakers!

Thanks for the info. I don't think she's quite ready to do it at this time. Perhaps in a month or so. But, I'm going to keep researching the possibilities.
