I think this is my problem, as there are some channels I've noticed where the top is cut off, so I must never be seeing the top of the program guide (or the tops of my channels, for that matter!). Is there some way I can change settings in the STB or my TV to remedy this??? Any help appreciated!

The information you're looking for is in the title of the program, which is only displayed on the top of the screen. If you just do an info on the program, you don't see the title.
In other words, I have the program guide up on screen and the top of the screen says Sun Aug 22 9:30pm All Channels, below that in yellow it says "Rave in Concert "Soundstage Presents: Sheryl Crow". Below that is says 125 RAVE Mon 12:00-2:00am
In the black portion of the PG below it says RAVE in Concert (yellow background/black text). Below that it says "The Grammy winning artist performs. Produced and Presented in High Definition"
HTH,
Robert
