Really like the power saving feature

Waste of time when the programmers could be working on bug fixes or useful things...

Also, when adding "new features", many times other problems are introduced. If it aint broke, dont fix it, and if someone is worried about power consumption, they should not be so lazy as to leave it on

This probably was a very simple code to write, something they wrote while writing other things as well.

Especially considering...this "power saver" BS feature on D* receivers, is NOT saving power at all!
ALL it does is shut off the video output; it does NOT even power down the hard drive in DVR receivers, which obviously is a large part of it's power consumption.
Just another smoke & mirror BS feature D* foisted on the uneducated public...

But on newer tvs it will force the tv to shut off so technically it is saving power, just not on Directv's part
