Receiver ATOM 1400

Dear Sir,
One of my friends bought a receiver from China called ATOM1400 and the receiver at installation didnt detect signals from NSS7 but detected Intelsat906 FTA C-Band channels. We tried all we could but it still didnt detect NSS7 inspite of our Satellite finder indicating full signal presence at 22*W. Please what can I do. do I advice my friend to get a new receiver or what?Or is theother solution? :shocked

Maybe nothing being broadcast....outside the footprint/s.....dish too small...

Hi,there was something being broadcasted on that satellite and the dish used was 1.8meters. We used C and Ku lnbs but neither made the receiver to indicate and the quality didnt turn green. One of my friends was watching Loveworld on Nss7 westafrica Beam. We used the ATOM receiver on his dish that was already directed to the satellite but it still didnt pick up signals. We are in Nigeria and the footprint is very strong here. We tried getting TV+ on C band but to no avail. what do I do?

Sell your receiver and buy the same type that your friend has that works.
