It been about 30 minutes and it still says the receiver is being authorized, how long is it suppose to take?

I authorized one a week or so ago, and used up nearly an hour with the online tech getting it up and running.

Never let the CSR off the phone until you see the screen saying your receiver is being authorized. Never assume they get the numbers correct, verify both the R00 & Smart Card numbers. If the receiver stalls during the authorization process unplug it and do a switch test, the authorization hits go out every 15 minutes for a a couple of hours. Remember be patient, ask the CSR if the links are backed up they get updates constantly on delays in the authorization process. Finally, if you think you are talking to a dummy you might be doing so, you can always hang up and call back.
When I called dish network they couldn't see the receiver under my account, does it mean it won't activate?
Took 37 1/2 minutes today to get a 311 authorized - had tech on line the whole time. He was very good at getting to the bottom of the problem. Seems the system would not fully authorize and add receiver onto the account.
