My new TV room configuration has a 501 and 622 receiver, and a Sony 5.1 receiver closely stacked. My UHF remote antennas do not have room to stand vertical, and my reliable range is very short.

I have used a 3' long RG-6 cable with an "F" at both ends and a coupler to move the antennas out of the cabinet -- and it drastically improves range -- but it is UGLY.

Does anyone know of an external antenna with a 3-5" base that I could set on top of the cabinet or speakers?

Thanks

regular old everyday "rabbit ears" can do the trick.
