:DWelcome!!:D

Stuff changes. a 10yr old receiver is really old,as fast as the technology changes. I really like my AZBOX for now, when something comes along that really blows it away or the technology makes it obsolete, I'll replace it. Welcome to Free to Air.

Welcome to Sat Guys! From everything I read and keep hearing in the last few years eventually more and more stuff wil be S2. It's cheaper. We've seen a few channels move to S2 but not a whole bunch yet. Blind

1) I have to say the S-2 and mpeg4 are the way of the future because they are more efficient ( cost the provider less for transmission).
2) Among the receivers that currently support these standards : Coolsat 8000/8100, Azbox HD series, Openbox S9, Vantage 1100S, and many PCI tuners.
3) Some regular channels are now on Dvb-S2 mpeg4, and many FTA feeds.
:)
