On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, how do the Mpeg 4 Local HD
compared to the original HD content. Lets say the HD channels on
the 6000 at 1080 are a 10.

How do the Mpeg HDs compare with SD?

They are much better than any SD channel, but varies by market. You won't be able to use the 6000 for local HD, tho. A ViP series receiver is required.
