When we use the fast reverse, the speed is too fast! Just a touch of the reverse gets one a long way back into the program. FWD is good and can be selected as 4x etc. How does one change how fast it goes in reverse? We spend time trying to get back to the item we wanted to see. Seems like 'back' and 'fwd' should be at the same speed. Anyone solved this problem?

The real problem is that after stopping a fast-forward, it should automatically jump back a certain amount. The amount of the jump back should be related to the speed of the fast forward. DTV has this and it works nicely. Similarly fast back should do a jump forward at the end. And you are also right, fast back setting 1 should be slower.

This has been requested for a long time. Surely it can't be that difficult to do (I know, don't call you Surely).

hit pause first, then back once for 1/4 speed reverse, twice for 1x speed back, three times for 4x speed. hope that helps.
