Hmmm i wonder if dish would switch it out .. that's the dish they gave us on both installs... iv'e seen the reflector on ebay for like 23.00 smackers i'll have to look for the lnb

Nope, wouldn't switch it. This new model is only for new installs and only installers have it and won't sell me one.

Damm that sucks!!! id'e take the new model over the old HD dish or the slimlines anyday!!! even works when it's raining out with high winds!!! have you tried an independent contractor to get one

This dish in the pic measurements are bigger than the old Dish 500+. I think the new Western Arc model with the new twin LNBs is a Dish 500 size, 22.5 x 20.

Yes. HipKat company has the new model but not allowed to sell them.

Boy the lnb eyes are much bigger then the triple lnb. I wonder if the strength of signal is any higher with this one, since you don't have to see all 3 anymore?

That's going to be the "old" 500 dish (110/119) that came out in 1998 but with the newest LNBF to handle all the newest rx's.

I think the signal might be a bit better without the added 3rd slot. The 1000 dish was just a bit small for its job and 129 was weak to begin with, so by time you got 129 maxed for what you were going to get, the 110 and 119, while stronger, might not have been optimal. Might be a giod tome for anyone with a 1000.2 to recheck alignment with just 110 and 119
