Today, I called and ordered Directv and was told I could take advantage of the refer-a-friend program because my dad has a Directv account. After getting off the phone, I realized that the AT&T representative didn't ask for my dad's directv account number. What should I do to make sure I get the $10 off per month for 10 months? Is there a phone number that would be best to call, or can I give the information to the installer when they do the install? Any suggestions would be helpful.
 
I believe it has to be in place before the installation. I would call back ASAP. You may need to cancel the first order and redo it.
 
There is a referral number to call...
Your best bet is to call before the installation.
If you call before, it is usually on the bill right away ...
If you wait till after the install you may have a harder time getting it, also it will probably take a few cycles to show up.
