registering new receiver with no dish @ home address ??

Looking for help with this topic.

I have no chance of home installation at my naples fl condo
but would like to purchase direct dvr.

I wish to use it at dock and RV.

If purchased at say best buy does the reciever come with access card
or is it mailed to my home address ??.

The card comes with the receiver and you will need a phone line and a dish to activate it

seems they like phone connected 100% but it is not necessary.

When I activated long time I ago, I didn't even pull the thing out of the box. Just had the numbers and a copy of the lineup.

To actually set the box up later I needed a phone line to do Guided Setup on my DTiVo.

you dont need a phone line with the new R-15 dvr.

You can call to activate the receiver without it hooked up to the dish. The thing is when you decide to hook the receiver up to the dish later on it will not have the programming that you called in to activate. You will have to have the receiver rehit. You might as well just wait until you have it hooked up to a satellite dish before you call in.

Only thing to that is that you have 30 days to do that, or else get hit with an $300 charge back fee
