Two possibilities I noodled:
1. Your DHCP isn't giving out enough information about the DNS server to make the ViP722 happy. You might try doing a manual configuration and put in a DNS server that way.
2. Hughesnet has blocked DISH's addresses because they don't want to doing VOD and Remote Access is a casualty. Sling can't find your DVR if DISH can't tell them where to look.
