I have the DVR box that runs two TV's. The manual says the 2nd remote will work from 200 ft...However, it's just not working properly.

The antena is touching NOTHING and is point a bit toward the location where TV 2 is. Anything I can do to make this work better...It's VERY dissapointing,

Try using a coax in the UHF antenna input. Make it long enough to reach closer to the midpoint between all locations where you want to use the remote. Strip the other end to expose the center conductor to about the same length as the UHF antenna. This way you've essentially moved your antenna to a more suitable position. Sometimes just raising it or providing a longer antenna works just as well...

Is there an attenuator attached to the base of the antennae? Looking at it you may not have noticed before. If it's on there the antennae is actually two parts.
That helps with the off-air interfearence. If it's not there "hopefully" the technician left the box the reciever came in and you should find it in there. (it looks like a barrel connection with a white tag on it).

Or.......

You could use a splitter to combine the tv2 feed with the UHF antennae then split it back out at the tv2 location. One to the TV and the other for the antennae itself.

^^ works wonders.
