Remote control question

I am sending the SD video from a 722 receiver to 2 different tvs. One of the tvs is in my basement and the other is my new shop about 60 feet away. My dilemma is whenever I want to watch the tv in the basement the remote is outside in my shop and vice versa. My question is 2 fold, can you control the receiver without the remote or can you program a second blue remote that will run the receiver?

Get a second remote from Dish or Ebay.

Set it to the same remote address as your existing #2 remote. You can find the address on the system info screen.
