I’m a dish tech and I’m on a service call. The issue the customer is having is with the joeys and the voice command not working. I’ve checked everything out from beginning to end and the hopper has internet connectivity. The joeys will even go to on demand just no voice command. Any suggestions?
 
I would think you also have to agree to some legal mumbo jumbo before using the voice commands as well. User might have skipped past or declined.

Doesn't Dish have a tech support line for technicians?

Who is the internet, what type of router/Gateway and how is the Hopper connected?
