I'm a dish tech and I'm on a service call. The issue the customer is having is with the joeys and the voice command not working. I've checked everything out from beginning to end and the hopper has internet connectivity. The joeys will even go to on demand just no voice command. Any suggestions?

The voice function now requires login to your Google account. I have never used it since that happened.

I would think you also have to agree to some legal mumbo jumbo before using the voice commands as well. User might have skipped past or declined.

Doesn't Dish have a tech support line for technicians?

I'm not logged into Google on any of mine. When it came to the login screen there was a skip button and I chose that and voice works just fine

You don't have to log into your Google account. Just have to accept the Google agreements

Who is the internet, what type of router/Gateway and how is the Hopper connected?
