Does anyone know if the older 20 remote, pictured below, can be programmed with the Hopper 3 so it works with pulling up and navigating the guide, accessing the DVR recordings, fast forward, rewind, etc.?

Hey there! The Hopper system is not compatible with the 20.0 remote. It is compatible with the 40.0, 50.0, 52.0, and any 54.X remotes.

Yes they will work with Joeys and Hoppers. I have been using two since I switched to Hopper/Joey system.

Ah okay, so it's just turning on the IR function in Remote Control Settings then?

And then is it just going into Sys Info, then pressing Sat and Record on the remote to get it to work?

Turn on the IR function in the Hopper remote control settings menu. Press the Sat button on the 20.0 remote control. Point it at the Hopper and see if it works. You do not pair this remote like you do with the other remotes. Let us know if it works.

If the 20.0 remote doesn't work you need to change the address to #1. Here are the instructions:
Hold SAT down on the remote until all mode lights flash
Press number 1
Press #
Changing the remote address should get the remote to work your Hopper or Joey functions. You will need to set up the remote to control the TV volume and mute buttons.
