Given the problems some people have had with Dish's customer service, I want to make sure I have the procedure right before I start.

On my account I have 2 leased vip622's and an owned 311. I want to replace the 311 with a 211k that I'll buy thru Dishstore.net.

So after getting the new receiver, is it just as simple as calling Dish and saying I want to inactivate the 311 and activate the 211k? I'm out of contract so this won't renew any commitment period right?

Thanks for any input.

Just lease the 211 DISH can't keep owned receivers as owned. They keep changing the status at their will then you have to fight to cget it corrected.

you can also activate on line, log onto the web site, assuming you have created an account, click the equipment tab and you will see the activate receiver button
