Retention Deals

I am on month to month service with DTV: Choice Extra package, HBO+Cimemax, DVR service and 1 leased receiver for $97.00. I need to save some money, or switch to a less expensive provider.

1. What is the best I can expect Retention to offer?

2. Will a contract extension be required to get a better deal?

"Free" HD offers won't help, as I will not be upgrading to HD until later.

1. Would have to call and ask. But the best they could offer will probably be a bit less than they offer now for new customers. ATM Choice Extra is $40 with HBO Stars and Showtime for 3 months.

2. Yes you will go back into a contract.
