By Mike Johnson on 2010-07-01 13:42:42
WWE issued the following statement this afternoon. We are told this is a legitimate situation and not a storyline article to continue Monday's angle with the Nexus group: Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat performed a stunt with other Legends this past Monday. Late Wednesday night, Ricky was experiencing pain in his neck and shoulder, and immediately went to the hospital. It is not clear if his current condition is related to his performance on Monday night. WWE is waiting to hear more from the attending physicians.WWE added the following to their story about Ricky Steamboat's hospitalization: "According to medical officials, his condition is most likely not related to his performance on Monday night, and Ricky’s medical prognosis is good to excellent."If you are the type of person that prays say some for Ricky Steamboat. From what I have been told his situation is very, very serious and he could use all of the support that we can give him. As soon as he or his family release more information about his condition, we will report it here.Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Ricky Steamboat was hospitalized after suffering a brain aneurysm last night in Tampa. As I posted moments ago, his prognosis is considered to be good to excellent.
F4WOnline.com recently posted an update on the health issues surrounding WWE Hall Of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. The article claims Steamboat suffered a brain aneurysm in Tampa last night and is hospitalzed as our initial report stated. The injury has been confirmed by WWE sources and is not part of an angle from this past Monday. Steamboat is currently listed in ICU under 24-hour observation and it has been reported that an angiogram has shown bleeding of the brain.
