Dish has managed to alienate more international subs with todays planned moves to Portuguese and Brazilian channels 596,597,615,650 @ 61.5, now if you have both 118 and 61.5 connected you no longer get the cleaner 800s (less compressed) @ 118 because the 800s @ 61.5 have priority, and your stupid receivers are only allowed to map one ch 814 for example not both since they are on the same channel numbers. "Adeus" dish this time next month, this is the final straw. Tech recommended adding another receiver to load just 61.5 or 118.7 version. I bet then they could get some more additional fees!

They also did this to TVJPN 675 @ 118 today. 675 will be moving to 640

640 - TVJPN [MPEG2 SD] added to Anik F3 118.7W TP 28 ConUS beam (TV Japan SAP) (A)

now when you tune to 640 you get 61.5 version instead of 118 version.

DDDCs~

After several hours I found a temp solution to reorder priority using a DPP44, connected 118 to port 3 (not recommeded for FSS on anything but Port 4 for whatever reason) and 61.5 to port 4. Regardless it works and now I am seeing 800s from 118.7 again.

When 590s/600s @ 61.5 versions are removed next week just will not have a rain fade backup anymore to switch to. Another half wit move by dish! Moving my internationals back to directv @ 95 next month. I have had it with all these expensive games. Stupid dish receivers incapable of loading 2 channels 814 like they used to years ago with 148 satelllite and 61.5,

Why doesn't Dish migrate all international channels from 118.7 to 61.5 or 72.7 or 77 for EA customers?

It would eliminate the need for a second dish which would benefit both the customer and Dish.

Is it a capacity issue?

little hard to do that if you are EA + Int'l dish

Does he? I seem to remember his previous post saying he had 61.5 just for rain fade backup.

Still, these gripes seem like minor issues no one else notices enough to complain about. I won't miss these whiny posts.

And wasn't this the poster that was earlier complaining about Polish channels? How many languages do you speak?

I agree
:)

and honestly anyone who pays for RTPI is (frankly) an idiot when its been on free to air for at least 6 years now :)

All channels switched there priority back to the compressed 800s @ 61.5 this morning. Damm you dish. This company does whatever they can to piss off and alienate as many subs as possible!

Correction just went to signal strength for 118 and exited out and they are back to coming from 118 again, boy what a stupid setup.

Why don't they just also put up remaps with unique numbers. For instance, 814 @ 61.5 could also be available to subs on ch 6814 @ 61.5, 814 @ 118 on ch 9814.

None of this crap would be needed if they fixed the 15/1 compression problems with the tp 8 @ 61.5 versions. Only 10/1 on tp 30 @ 118
