Cool! I see more Rivians on the road after Tesla. I'm not sure where they are buying them (Chicago suburbs is closest to me) but they seem popular around here.

It's Indiana, right? maybe they just want something that looks like something

This thing is awesome. Will snap your neck if you floor it. Rides really nice and moves easily through traffic. Is great for work. I think I do prefer the suv form of the EV9 for picking up groceries though.

Took the latest Rivian update just now that adds Rivian assistant to the vehicle. Then got an email with another 60 day free trial of connect+ since rivian assistant requires a connect+ subscription.

First time to try out the Rivian Service Center experience. Need to go to OKC next week so made an appointment at the service center to get tires rotated and do a comprehensive inspection. Hopefully they don't complain about the Megawatt Rock Sliders / Running Boards that are on it. Seems silly that Rivian hasn't made a factory running board. Hopefully Rivian actually opens a Tulsa service center next year and doesn't push it out further. Having to drive an hour and half both ways when it's something that mobile service can't handle is not the most convenient.

Sitting in okc service center waiting on tire rotation and comprehensive inspection. Apparently my rfid card is dead or the reader in the door isn't working. I've never used it, just the fob and my phone. Hopefully they don't need to keep it as I don't want to deal with a rental and having to drive back. They don't have any loaners at the moment and it's 1hr 40 min drive home.

Guess I'm coming back in a month once parts are here. RFID reader in door handle is bad and handle will need to be painted. Control arms bad which I thought as it had a rattle going slowly over speed bumps and some seepage around the front drive unit so they're replacing it too. Glad I did the inspection now and not waited a year or another 8k miles before the warranty was closer to expiring.

Got the new Rivian OS2 update a couple days ago. Seems snappier than the old OS. Some nitpicking on how they've combined some buttons and functions onto the same cards and displays.

Vehicle functions like climate hold, pet mode etc are on the same card as the music and entertainment so if the music stays docked to the right side of the main screen it's a long reach to toggle the vehicle screen and select climate hold or move the card to the left side of the screen and it covers more of the map closest to the drivers view. Some one button selection in the previous OS are now 2 or 3 button selections deep.

Dropped my R1T off at the service center yesterday for the warranty work. It was like they gave me my truck back, the loaner they gave me is a 22 R1T quad motor with adventure package in forest green with black mountain ash interior. Identical to my 23 except it has the 21in range wheels and surprisingly only has12,000 miles. Someone left their Apple Music account logged in on it, so gave Apple music a try on the way home instead of using my Youtube Music.

Took the scenic way back home on Route 66 to avoid the turnpike and possible double tolls since it would read the plate and charge Rivian the plate pay amount which is double the normal pikepass rates.

Mine should be ready tomorrow or Friday according the front office at the service center.

Just for laughs - best pranks
