Roy Oswalt Ejection

This happened Monday, but I finally found a video of it. Oswalt missed off the outside corner of the plate and says something to himself while looking towards first base. The umpire comes out from behind home plate yelling at Oswalt. Oswalt yells back "I ain't talking to you" twice and gets tossed.

What the hell is it with umpires these days? The look on this guy's face as he is tossing Oswalt is absolute outrage. You would think that Oswalt ran over his dog or something.

One interesting twist to the story, MLB has apparently taken Oswalt's side on this.

"I have never seen that before," Oswalt told reporters. "I was actually upset that I threw a ball that ended up a little bit off the plate. I was actually talking to myself on the mound and I wasn't even looking his way.


"When I turned around, he was pointing at me saying something like, 'Keep your mouth shut,' or something," Oswalt said. "I couldn't really tell you what he said. I told him that I wasn't talking to him, and he kept on talking."
