I´ll check out that Exploring Russia show.
I knew there was a RT Documentary channel but I haven´t watched it.
I found the channel online, here the PQ looks good, just tuned in so I still can´t say anything about their documentaries.

It's not their propaganda that annoys me, it's the constant coverage of war and conflict that I can't stand.
I'm sick of hearing about the Middle East, I'm sick of hearing about terrorism. But that's about all they ever cover in their news. That for me warrants an instant channel change.
ALL news organizations are propaganda machines, none are exempt from it. Our US news is skewed to be pro-America and anti-everything/everyone else. If you aren't with us you're against us is the theme.
It's the same with the Chinese news or the Arabic news or the British news. They all push their agenda. I really hate the news no matter what country or source, it's all depressing and designed to scare you into submission.

I'm just soooooooooo sick of the war and terrorism crap.

There is NOTHING that I can do as an individual to change anything, anywhere in the world outside of my little home so why get bent about the rest of the world?
I just want to watch educational and entertainment things. Educational betters my mind, entertainment betters my attitude.

One problem, there no known "right wing" or "conservative" institutions ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET that could teach new students a better way of presenting the news.

I can't stand RT's news. It's such a pant load.

But I do like some of their documentaries, there is one that's something like "Exploring Russia with James Brown" I think and it's pretty neat.
I like to see foreign places and learn about other cultures and people and a lot of the places they show are sooooooo beautiful!
And that one show is usually politic/religion free, it seems to be very neutral and just trying to show you new things.

I'm good with that.

But their news, I can't stomach. I can find 100,000,000 other things to watch before I'll watch their news.

I wish they would have a documentary only channel.

I checked out their so called documentary channel on Roku and the picture quality is worse than the worst youtube garbage. It's not even watchable not to mention, there is almost no selection.

They used to have a website of free videos you could watch or download and lots of the documentaries were on there. But it seems to have gone bye bye now and was replaced with some nonsense called ruptly.tv which seems to only contain archived news nonsense. What a real bummer.

I really don't care that much for RT anymore. They need a good swift kick in the backside.

I watched a documentry on Icebreakers going through the artic circle thought it was neat learning how they go through the shipping lanes. Or go behind the scenes at the Kremlin thought that was neat to. Rather watch something good on and worth my time than not worth my time espically while eating dinner-.

Allegedly there was a King in France, who also disliked bad news, so he ordered a special newspaper, issued exclusively for him, (circulation : just 1), with ONLY good and merry news. I tried to confirm this info through Google - but no luck. Is it a canard repeated by tourist guides in Paris?
