Poke- I'm a candidate for a smart watch but aside from a few important features, it seems that this battery consumption thing might become a real PIA. Did these smart engineers forget about a solar powered watch? I had my first solar powered watch back in 1974 and it ran for 9 years when I decided I wanted a more traditional self winding Seiko. They should make the entire band a solar recharging panel.

I haven't really worn a watch since the days of having a pager strapped to my belt, as it seemed redundant. Same as true with a cell phone...

However, depending on the features of a smartwatch, I just might consider wearing one again.
