Sansui? I never heard of that one but the new learning remote coming out in a few weeks may help you out.
While the name and logo are the same, Sansui is now headquartered in Singapore. Their product line now includes everything but the good audio gear that the name was known for.

The fact that your 522 is probably several years old the codes stored in the remote are that old also. If you go to DISH's web site you may find newer codes but they still won't work because your remote dosen't recognize them. As yes616 posted the new learning remote should be in your future unless they used an old code set from another manufacturer.
after a long code scan, it works. 721 is what the remote came up with. Its a cheap LCD for the garage......not bad for a hundred bucks.
Yeah they had HD 19" sets for $179 here yesterday... think that is still the price...no HDMI from what I could tell though...
do an auto search.(you will need the tv turned on)
1-press the tv button (not the red one but the one on the top left of the remote next to the sat button) hold it down until you see it blink.
2-press the red power button once
3-keep pressing channel up (using the up arrow button), do this kind of slowly until the tv turns off
4-as soon as the tv turns off press the pound button, then just press the sat button on the upper left of the remote one time and you're good to go.
if you were accidently pressing the channel up button too fast and pressed it again after the tv turned off, repeat the step BUT instead of going channel up, you want to press the channel down arrow, you'll have to turn the tv on for this step too. it should turn off only after the first or 2nd time you press the channel down arrow. after it turns off again, press pound then sat.
