Here I go again. I am so uncertain as what to buy that I have to suspend my dtv service another two months.

I have been doing some major research on types and specs of cables to use from the dishes lnb and into the receivers.

RG6 Quad Shield Solid Copper Conductor Swept to 3Ghz is what a rep at DTV said would be the optimal wire.

I am planning for growth into the HD DirecTV receiver.

Does this seem right?

Also, WHAT CABLES CAN YOU RECOMMEND. ANY BRAND. I HAVE BEEN TEMPTED TO GO WITH THE ONE FROM PERFECT VISION but wanted to ask.

"Satellite downfeed cables?" Hmm? Nothing special or so fancy sounding is needed; just good ole quality RG6 cable with well applied F-type connectors.

You already have a DirecTV subscription but your system is not yet completely installed and operating?

Any quality RG6 cables can be had locally and nothing of special need, unless you are talking about needing direct burial or lengths of over maybe 150'. AND still any quality RG6 should be easy to find. See links below.

What length or distance are you talking from the dish to the receivers?
