Hi All,

I am setting up a 1000.4 antenna and the elevation needs to be 41 which would be close to the top of a tall tree. Does the satellite actually sit higher in the sky than the 41 degrees the antenna needs to be set to?

Thanks,
Bill

Dish dishes are offset and "sees" about 22-25 degrees higher than where it looks like

So the dish could be aimed at some trees yet get great signal

Good example of a offset dish.....this is a pic of part of my dish farm. The big dish at the end is aimed at 38 degrees. C-Band dishes are prime focus so the look angle is true...38 degrees
The grey dish next to it is ALSO aimed at 38 degrees but since its offset it looks like the dish is up and down

Thanks for the quick response Iceberg you made my day! I assumed the bird would be higher than the Dish aiming point but I wanted it verfied by an expert.

Again Thanks,
Bill
