I like that, can't wait for the new bird, I didn't understand about the 13degree part though, does that mean while both sats are still operating?

That's what I was wondering. I'm supposing in theory they'd love to keep AMC-1 operating with its odd skew, to get their money's worth out of the satellite. But if all the major users shift over to SES-3, I can't imagine what would still be on there (other than some uplinked feeds)?

If I understood correctly, the want people to rotate it 13 degrees to enable you to still receive signals from the old satellite and pick up signals from the new satellite, hitting the signal in between both satellites to pick them both up at once.

Then I'll say here what I said there.
The video should be mandatory viewing for every newbie.
Several technical concepts are touched on and clearly explained.

Edit: and yes, cutsie topics should not be allowed outside the FTA Shack.
?Makes finding help just too hard.
(not that this was an example)
Just one of my hot buttons. :up
