I only buy it if its drastically reduced. There prices are a bad joke. Marketing reminds me of BOSE. I think most on this forum buy from monoprice.com at 1/50 of the price and get the same cable.

With all due respect, Scott, it is disappointing to see SatelliteGuys throwing any support behind a company like Monster. This is more advertising than anything informative, really, in my not so humble opinion. Rather see you do interviews with smaller companies that could use the business from forum members and have better business practices than these guys.

Anytime you interview any CEO it is always going to sound like an ad for that company. Its the nature of the beast.

Mr. Lee wanted to do the interview witus because he knew us and our forum. I don't mind that at all, it means that the industry knows wo we are. I would love to see more CEO's from the home theater and satellite industry on SatelliteGuys.

I agree. It is very disappointing seeing SG support this garbage called Mon$ter. :(

I would not call monster cables garbage. They in fact work quite well, they are just over the top in pricing. But, to be fair they are probably massively marked up by the big box retailers that monoprice/blue jean cable do not have to do.

I called them garbage since the company uses deceptive marketing practices and they encourage the big box stores to push their way-overpriced products. Plus they're too overprotected over their name. A company I used to work for had a product with the word monster in their name and Mon$ter threaten to take legal action against our company. The thing is the product had that name way before Noel even thought up his company.
