Because those 2 channels are still listed in the NIT and SDT tables. They did change descriptor types but they were not removed.

In an area where I cant get Nimiq2/3 - did TP 12559 move sometime in the past 24 hours from Nimiq1/4 to Nimiq2/3 because it went AWOL on me.

What kind of receiver and dish do you have?

I have an 'elderly' 6000 and an old 24" oval. I'm far enough south that I've never received NIM3 on 91, but get NIM1 with no problem. I spoke with a friend up north who is getting TP 12559 with no problem (he gets both NIM1/3). Since I have been getting this TP until yesterday, coupled with one of the bullitens on Elena's site which stated that TP 24 may be down for a couple of minutes yesterday, well I'm just guessing it may have moved to NIM3.

Well I've read that also and does it actually state that TP24 has moved from NIM1 to NIM3 - I cant quite decipher it? And if it does state such, will the other TPs referenced be moving as well?

nothing moved to Nimiq 3

2 and 3 are at 82
1, 4i, and 4iR are/will be at 91

what i get from it is that stuff is moving from 4i to 4iR with more moves tomorrow (mon) and tue morning

anyone else deep down south see higher signal levels? pretty sure I'm not seeing things, but I've got 15-20% higher! example, no more fade for me on BBC World (TP7)! :clap

Needles to say, guess I'm just a tad confused as I thought NIM1 and NIM3 were at 91. So did 4i and now 4iR take the place/position of NIM3? Is the footprint of 4iR still tightly focused towards the northern regions thereby excluding some of us in the far south?

What do you consider the far south? All of the active TP's at 91 have always worked fine here.

I'm using single 20" pan for both 82/91. I've always got everything on 91, but a few were close to the edge. I'm missing a few on 82.

bigger pan or single pan for each helps but i've got limited space on my apt deck so i'm content with what i've got now.

90cm motorized. I used to have an 18inch there when they had the radio channels in the clear but removed it when they scrambled the radio channels.
