SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - Week Ending 04/07/2007

Scott in the NESN HD tread NESN stated they have recently talked to E* and they say that E* are not intrested in carrying the HD signal. :(

Oh well time to downgrade to top150, and hope Comcast get new HD recievers in my area so I can see the Sox in HD and some hockey thats left.

Aren't these channel numbers in the SD RSN range??

Yep

Sports Time Ohio Network STO 431
New England Sports Network NESN 434

My guess is the Dish is scrambling to get all the RSN's they can in lieu of losing MLBEI.

FWIW the test channel 421 that was removed was the one showing EPG of MASN

Now that I look at the TP's, I'm willing to bet the test channel on 432 is the same as the one that was on 421. In other words, probably MASN.

I think so too. I hope that they would be YES and MASN, the two biggest east coast RSNs that E* is missing....

Perhaps Charlie decided to take the money saved on MLB EI and add MASN to 432 and YES Network to 433. Glad he took my advice. :D

lets hope Dish scrambles some more and makes available the remaining RSN's in HD with the money he saved by not getting MLB EI

Someone with the proper equipment should be able to tell.

...paging Scott, Digiblur, JohnH, P Smith...

Encrypted jones....

433 is only running at 0.3mbps. I'd guess it's either a black screen or a slate.

432..hmm.. I see the entry in the SDT and NIT tables. No entry in the EIT tables. Nor in the PAT on TP 21. In english? 432 currently points to nothing, it's just a blip on someone's computer screen at the uplink. But I did find an unmapped unencrypted black background DishNetwork slate running at 0.9mbps at VPID 4898/APID 4899. I'm guessing this is for 432 that they forgot to map in the PAT.

That's English??
So, is it safe to say they're nothing more than placeholders right now??
