SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - Week Ending 04/07/2007

must. get. sny! I recently "moved" to NYC to get the Mets on SNY and getting them in HD would just be icing on the cake...

1. Care to translate? Do you have table with the HEX to english conversion instead of the HEX to Klingon version?

2. The types are only shown on adds. If everyone wants the "available"s to show the types too I could add it.
Eeeh man, short memory ;) - I told yeah already.

Lets take last one: 0101027F00FCFF to 0101025A00FCFF and convert to English
a) drop the 0101 ( providerID)
b) changes in next 2 bytes: "027F to 025A" replace to "moved to other package" or similar
c) last three bytes : "00FCFF to 00FCFF" ( if changed) replace to "free" or "preview" or "req sub"

Unless you're in the footprint of the 61.5 satellite you're probably going to be out of luck.

Oh ya, I'm in the northeast... Get all my hd from 61.5 anyways, and am in the 119 spotbeam to get the non-big 4 NYC sd locals... Here's hoping they get the rest of the RSNs done soon :(

Rainbows... cool! :) I know the provider part already. I thought you had some insight on the package bytes.

huh? The HD stuff on 61.5 is CONUS so as long as they have a dish at 61.5 set up its fine

Not if you're on the west coast it's not CONUS. Technically it is but practically it's not. I can't see 61.5 anyway and any how. I had a dish at the peak of my roof 45 feet up and still couldn't see it.

Scott... hello Scott.. are you hearing anything from your sources at Dish about MASN? Really important channel to those of us in MD, VA, NC, DC.

Will the ny market get FSNY, MSG & SNY HD at all?

Since these channels may or may not be uplinked to 61.5 transponder 30....will they made available since they are part of the fox sports networks? Or will dish
add these channels little by little. It just a matter of time before Fios tv is made
officially available this coming June or July to the Seaford, Long Island area...actually near the levitown/bethpage area.......rolou21.

DRMT1-6 hmm, are we going to see DRM implementation in Dish DVRs for VOD ?
Look reasonable if it going same way as IPTV movie sells.

Anyone notice the EPG is listed as "TEST DRM 1" and another one of these is listed as "Unprotected"? Hmmm.....

Is there any national HD programming on the FSN's?

Nope. At least for FOXBA, only the A's, Giants, Warriors, and Sharks games/pre/post game shows are HD. All other Fox Sports programming is still in SD. Seems like I've heard that others have seen some of the programming in HD, but I don't recall who or where.

Making more room....

Does this mean that New York HD viewers will get a big increase in recording capacity? A lot of reruns lately so I've been able to catch up easily, but it was a little hairy in November....

Also, judging from the press release, it looks like this is IT for the HD RSNs for a while, although they hint at Altitude and another being activated "by the fall". Sounds like HD versions of SNY, FSNY, and MSG aren't even close to being done... I guess they are giving up competing with New York Sports fans and allow them to migrate to D* at this point.

Bob that is the way I am seeing things as well.

Really silly for them to do this when their entire service is programmed for people in the Eastern Time Zone. Haven't you ever wondered why they don't carry the West Coast versions of many channels?
