I'm looking for an inexpensive digital satellite meter. The SatLink is looks pretty good and it's inexpensive. Has anyone used one of those? Any comments/suggestions about it?

What up Fat? Well, I have a meter but it's an OLM meter. As long as the satellite I'm trying to line up on is in the clear, in most cases I can find it. Now and then though, I have to make a trip down to the TV to see which satellite I'm receiving.

I have the 6908 model with v2.3 software. It gets the job done, nice large signal strength and Q display but the software is a bit flakey at times.
Some cons;
1. Need to do to much button pushing to perform basic dish alignment tasks.
2. Menu system could be improved.
3. Battery life deteriorates quickly. Needs a new battery after 1 year of use.
4. BER takes a while to update when making adjustments.

but thats just my $.02
