I saw the episode where the Black Hat was trying to erase their identity by blowing up the Internet. There were so many things wrong with the plot that I'm afraid for our civilization if this show has good ratings.

The idea you can take out the Internet by destroying one cable may work if you're in the Middle East and all you have is one cable, but the whole point of the Internet is there is no single point of failure!

The bomber blows up a server that stored the data he wants to disappear. Yeah, like there's no such thing as offsite backups...

Then came the "fact" that network routers store the messages that traverse the Internet. Huh? All they need to do is plug a monitor into the router and display all the emails that went through, finding the one single email that incriminates the Mad Bomber.

But wait, there's another bomb, about a cubic foot of C4, more than enough to bring down the building they're in and the neighboring buildings, too. Oh, look, they're remodeling the Network Router room and they left some drywall joint compound, which, when mixed with salt or sugar (I missed what the mystery ingredient was) makes a substance so strong it will absorb the majority of the explosion, saving the building.

But even though the file is destroyed, there's one Scorpion with a photographic memory and he can recite word for word the content of the incriminating email. That should be perfectly admissible in the court of law on their version of Earth...

That episode I missed. It was the week my Dish was out. Apparently I did not miss anything. :)

I have viewed this show as light entertainment, with a low seriousness quotient.

It's just because you're "normal(like that's a bad thing?)" that you just don't get it. The pilot episode, where they had a passenger jet fly 8 feet above the ground while a Ferrari was racing underneath it so that they can drop an ethernet cable down to connect to a laptop in the Ferrari......I can go on,but I think that's enough,AND THIS IS THE EPISODE(Black hat) THAT GET'S TO YOU?

It's the only one I watched. I saw the promos for the "I need a Ferrari 458 Spyder" pilot but I didn't see it, so I can't speak to its worth. Reading what has been said about it, it sounds like the writers have no idea what technology is or how it works.

If you want to see the ultimate "jump the shark" moment,YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE PILOT EPISODE. I mean, they shot their whole load on that one.

I had to look back in this thread for the best review posted about the pilot episode, here's the link to that review:
Scorpion Brings the Stupidest, Most Batshit Insane Hacker Scene Ever

This says everything about the show that I couldn't,but the show is still a guilty pleasure for me.

I must admit the blogger has made my night! Plus, I read her take on "Person of Interest" and I've got to get back into watching that show. I've been using my AppleTV to watch the PBS, Fox, and ABC series and it's nice that it frees up space on the DVRs for the other networks.

I just saw a promo for tomorrow night´s episode, some kind of crossover with NCIS LA, ... I think, I just caught the last part of that promo.

Well I watched this episode (out of curiosity) where these weirdos had some help from NCIS LA, had a few laughs.
I´ve tried but I just can´t take this show seriously.
