Does anyone know if, after the 522 is paused for a long period of time, a screensaver kicks in? I think I've paused it up to 4 mins or so and all I see is the paused image on the screen... I have a rear projection TV and it can be burned if an image is on too long... I used to have an RCA PVR and it went into screensaver mode (The letters RCA would bounce around the screen) after 2 mins... just curious.

as far as i know no. The screensavers kicks in when you turn the tuner off. ive left it paused for up to an hour before and not seen it kick in. Alternatively i would suggest turning off the tv if you leave it paused over 6 minutes give or take.

Yeah I believe it's 4 hours that it kicks in at. Leave it on overnight and you'll see it. I never turn off the box, so I see it all the time...

yeah that would lead to some burn in.... I usually dont mind... say i get up to go in the kitchen and im watching something off the dvr.. i generally pause it kill the tv and stick the remote in my back pocket. turn it back on on my way to plant my butt back in the chair and if timed right the image is back by the time im situated.

I know there are a lot of important issues at hand, software-wise... but this seems like a very simple thing to add... and may save some TV screens in the process... just my two cents... that usually isn't even worth that.

The only screensaver that I am aware of is the bouncing DISH network logo that you see when you turn "off" the system.....

Well there is nothing wrong with that screensaver... but it needs to come on after a few mins of the video being paused to keep people from burning their screens.
