search problem 721

Something new on my 721 whenever I try to do a search of the tv listing The unit will think for a while. When the 721 displays the results of the search it indictates that it found numerous matches. the amount will vary depending on the search anywhere from 50-150. The dates start with Friday dec 30 1994 the channel is AUX and the time is around 12:15 am.


This is something new as the search function used to work. anyone else see this? any ideas ?

This has occurred on my unit several times in the past...I simply reboot it and the problem is solved.

If you are tallking about getting those results from doing a theme search by hitting the left arrow on the remote I am pretty sure this happens when you don't turn your 721 off at night for a few days. I believe the receiver downloads the info for these searches around two or three am and only when the receiver is turned off.

As David said a reboot will usually solve the problem.

this is not a theme search. It is when I search for text either in a title or info. It doesnt do it all the time and thankfully it hasnt done it a all in a while
