Just today I've started seeing the full "partial signal loss" error screen while watching CNN and HLN. It's happened about a dozen times today but as soon as I press GUIDE the channel is instantly back and when I skip back there is no pixelation or sign of interference. I have a steady signal strength of 62 on 72.7 with all the transponders and check switch was ok. It was clear with very little breeze today.

Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks.

Do you have an OTA tuner?

If so make sure it is on a strong channel.

Loss of signal on OTA will be noted on your screen even if you are watching a satellite channel - Dish should fix that.

Everyone automatically blames ota. Often times it is not. I had the same problem and it was lnb drift. Go to your System Info screen and run the test. See what it says in box a. If it says OK then it is something else. But it may show drift.

Truth to that, but most of the time it is OTA... It is something to look at....

Ever since late last night everything's been fine.

Before I posted yesterday I checked the OTA and both tuners on the 722 were set to the same channel when the problem occurred.

I ran the test in system info, box A came up GOOD. Under details there were about 10 lines with
11-12-11 11-22-11 on both tuners that had occurred hours earlier. Any idea what that means?

Hopefully it doesn't start up again but if it does I'll be back.

Thanks for the help.

My experience and reading posts all this time - that is usually the problem. LNB drift certainly is another possibility however.
