I have a friend that asked me how long E* will let you go past your due date before they disconnect your service. I told him that I had no idea but that I knew where to find out so, does anybody know?

58 Days they shut off your service and you have until day 73 when they start sending you to collections.

On the pay in advance accounts, all the programming is pre-paid and the second the pre-paid programming runs out they shut down the service.

Thanks Claude, I let him know. Is that 58 days past the due date?

I know you didnt ask for this advice but it is obvious that you or someone you know may be in the situation of having service disconnected at sometime in near future.
I ran into a financial crisis last year and couldnt pay my bills and unfortunately TV service is not on top list of things to keep during this time.If your close to shut off date I would (if out of contract)put my account on hold until you can pay,if you cant do that and dont want to be shut off I would go down to lowest possible package(family pack,Bronze).best thing with Dish is to never get behind and I do this by autopay, but I know some people dont like this ,I keep programming the same and budget the payment in each month.
My sister got her service Shut off after she tried unsucessfully to make payment arrangements with Dish and she was only on day 50.So I know a case where the 58 day rule isnt accurate.
I am sorry for your money troubles but if you need to make a choice of which bills to pay ,TV goes to bottom of list, you can live without ,I did voluntarily for 6 months and you would be surprised of the things you can do without watching TV.
