I'm new to this site & also new to setting up my Dishnet system (what the hardware will do) at my weekend house some distance away from my home, I'm trying to set the remote DishNet using my exsisting account & I have purchased the Dish & Dishnet receiver of the same brand, what I want to know is, Can FTA & DishNet channels use the same anntena as long as I have 2 seperate receivers, In otherwords can the FTA LNB's & the DishNet LNB sit on the same bar, on the same sat dish & work?

No, FTA and DIsh use different tech and most FTA sats are at a different orbital location.

Be very careful about having receivers at two locations.

This may be constrewed by Dish as account stacking

If Dish happens to audit your account, they will ask for random numbers being displayed on the receiver at that precise time, so you cannot drive to your weekend house to get them - they will disable the offending receiver permanently.

It is better to have a receiver that you transport between locations with you, and safer, too.
