Seth Myers New host of Late Night

"Saturday Night Live" star and head writer Seth Meyers has his next gig set: the host of NBC's "Late Night." The comedian will be taking over the job from current host Jimmy Fallon, whom NBC last month named to succeed Jay Leno as "Tonight Show" host in 2014.

Although it no longer seems possible, Comcast/NBC continue to making boneheaded moves. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

It needs a new Producer too:Lorne Michaels. He has been in charge the entire 38 years it has been on tv. The show will not change with out fresh blood at the helm and the writing staff too.

Not quite. He left in 1980 and was replaced by Jean Doumanian for one year, then Dick Ebersol produced the next three until Michaels returned in '85.

I did not know that. Well then 34 years total then. Either way , he needs to go, because the show is predictable and stale now.

Lorne Michaels will have 11:35 pm -- 1:35 am weekdays and 11:35 pm -- 1:00 am Saturdays under his control...
