I have my sattlite pointed east zip code is 75116 on port 4 switch dp 34 menue screen reads port4 conn trans xxx az is set at 122 & ele set at 37 no signal reset 522 and disconnected cable and reconnected same statius.

What dish type and lnb type are you using? If a Dish 500, what is your skew?

its a dual lnb ele is 36.3 az 127.2 skew -42.1

set azimuth to 122, elevation to 37, skew is zero and not used. the lnb has to be this type The Dish Store - Powered by Metro25 if using a dish 500 dish u will need an i adapter for it. hope this helps.

Go back to your switch a DP34 has 3 inputs from the satellite and 4 outputs. Why are you on port 4 and how many lines do you have connected to a 522?

I'm on port 1 & 2 they go to the 522 sat 1 & sat 2 correction port 3 goes to the 61.5 sat.

just set skew at 90 did a test no signal conn on port 3 transponder x mayb the lnb is bad

For dish to be aimed properly, skew needs to be 90.

What transponder are you looking for on 61.5 many are MPEG4 and invisible to a 522.

how do you tell if the lnb is not working I should at least get one satellite pointing east even if its the wrong one?

The setup is a starting point, you still need to find the signal, it may also be blocked by something, is the dish pointed toward anything?

Make sure you are using transponder 10 on 61.5 or one of the other QPSK modulation transponders to point with.

on a dish switch 119 goes to sat1 or dish 1, 110 goes to sat2 or dish2 rest of them are for more dish's. with that being said , to test you switch hook 119 up to port 3 if u get 119 then your switch is good . then its more then likely the lnb,. 61.5 is fairly easy to find. man this website needs a goto section for stuff. but it is the best one i have ever found !

I took the lnb from the dish 500 exchanged it with the lnb on the dish 1000 worked fine set the az at 127 set the ele at 36 the az is about 3oclock east still no signal.

ok guys first let me thank all of you who were able to offer help thanks for the support, decided to call dish after 3 long days of trying to get 61.5 online, paid dish 29 dollars
to tweak all my dishes and find sat 61.5. I lacked one thing and that is I'm going to buy
a real compass I was off about 30 degree pointing sw experience teaches you one thing
be prepared the next time to have all your tool onboard again thanks everyone.
