noticed them today

440-445

for the multiple Big 10 games going on at the same time....
interesting as there will be 2 HD games a week...the "main" game on Big 10 and one of the overflow games will be in HD

Too bad that almost all of the Big 10 games are in HD to begin so we wont get all of them :(

So let me make sure I understand. There will be two Big Ten HD channels but only one for NFL ST? What's the sense of that?

sort of

Big 10 is already in HD....channel number escapes me but its in the 260's
They added a 2nd (part time) channel at 445 for a 2nd game. All Big 10 football games are in HD

That same part time HD channel will be used for NFL ST on Sunday. There are also HD feeds of the CBS Detroit, Fox Rochester, CBS & Fox Seattle, NBC Detroit & Seattle, TSN & Rogers Sportsnet. SO there is more than "ONE" HD channel for NFL ST ;)

also, CFTO (CTV Toronto) and RDS

For a true "apple to apples" comparison of Sunday Ticket, take away the NBC and TSN, since they don't carry Sunday afternoon games. without Sunday ticket, there are up to 10 Sunday afternoon games that could be broadcast in HD on Shaw Direct if there is no overlap; however there will almost always be at least one game on two channels simultaneously. And I am concerned that the game on the Sunday Ticket HD channel may be one that is already on one of the other stations

Shaw Direct missed the ball again with the Northwestern at Purdue game today. What's the point on obtianing this Big Ten Network progamming service and not showing the few games they do have available.

I wondered that myself....why they didnt use the overflow channel

last week there was only one game available (MN & Northwestern)

i thought there was something wrong with my receiver. oh well, good to know. next week there are two games--Michigan St at Illinois on the main and Miami (OH) at Northwestern on the overflow

It looks like only one game this Saturday is going to be shown as well. I sent a request to make them aware of the situation, here is their response:

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us!

We have tried to search your request, in our programming schedule, and see the following:

Miami @ Northwestern (it doesn’t look like this one is available live)

Michigan @ Illinois (this game is available live and in HD tomorrow)

Regarding the Miami @ Northwestern game not being available Live, we have forwarded this concern to the programming department, to see if it can be aired this way.

Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to Contact Us. Please include any previous correspondence with your replies.

Thank you for choosing Shaw Direct and have a great day!

What are the odds that the Delaware St.- Michigan game will be shown on the overflow channel today?

also, how ironic that a wild feed is more reliable than something you supposedly are paying for?!

It is a shame the cannot air all of the games The Big Ten Network offers. Not much of a game being 49-3 at half time lol. At least they have Illinois @ Indiana tonight in HD.

I shutter next week what will happen

4 games all on at 11:00 start times (Central)
Wisconsin at Indiana
Illinois at Minnesota
Western Michigan at Michigan St.
Purdue at Michigan

actually all but the W Mich/Mich State game should be good

Whats weird is how the B10 get games each week. I know ESPN/ESPN2/ABC gets the first shot at games but damn some weeks there is ONE game on the Big10 and then this week there are 4 at the same time and NONE at night. Whats up with that?
