Id agree with you on 2 years then, maybe 3. These Oleds are a little different than plasma tiers, where you had features and black level separating the tiers. You kinda just have the same OLED's in certain sizes, flat and curved. I see pricing staying a little higher unless that changes, since they are all "flagships". Even the VT series plasma flagship launched every year well over $3k for a 65".

Yeah, 2 to 3 years, as long as my plasma continues to perform as well as it has, I'm not in a huge hurry. Let OLED mature, solve a few issues and the prices drop for a 65" to something between $1.5k - $2k and then I'll ponder it a lot more seriously...

While the maturity clearly isn't there yet, the prices are already in the middle of your price range if you shop around.

My bad. You are right.

The 65" LED goes for about the same price as the 55" OLED. I wasn't much impressed by either of them but the OLED viewing angle was a huge step in the right direction for my square living room.
