I am looking at getting another tv, and was debating on which I should get. I hear plasma tv's give you the best picture, but I hear a lot about burn in. What kind of tv do you guys prefer?

LED is an LCD. You can get a florescent back-lit LCD or an LED back-lit LCD (aka LED TV). For those two types of LCD, the LED back-lit ones are usually best as they tend to have more of a true black

Plasmas have the best picture overall, but then there is the issue of glare. If you are in a bright room you will get a lot of reflection, so a Plasma is usually not good for those situations.

IOW, bright room, LED. Dark room, Plasma

I've heard that a plasma TV uses more electricity than LCD and LED TV's

Truth. A good LED 50" set will use about 100W. A 50" plasma is about 300W. Conventional CFL backlit LCDs are somewhere between.

It is just one factor to consider though.
