Every since i got HD (about 2yrs ago) i needed to reset my HD box every night if i want to my HD sports packages to come in. but tonight i was on dbstalk.com and saw a post that sound like my problem should i try it? ---------------------------------------- Anyone else getting the d* logo screen for all sunday ticket channels? Steps I had to use to fix: 1. Go to the Satellite Setup 2. Repeat Satellite Setup 3. Changed Dish Type from 03:Slimline-3 TO 04:Slimline-5 4. Continue 5. Ignored the warning about Guide Issues 6. WOOT. NFL ST in HD again. thanks -------------------------------- or will this mess too much stuff up? thanks

Hard to say as I have not had this issue nor heard of it but if it fixes your problems then its all good. I would say you shouldn't have to do this (constant reboots) nor setup the box for something different that what you really have.
like i said i cant take a chance of messing something up, but on the other hand i been dealing with this for the last 2yrs, i even got so sick of it sometimes i when watch NHL or MLB i just watch the ST feed until HD channel come on but it a long story

WHAT? you have called 30 times to report an issue and been denied a replacement? Have you asked to be directed to a supervisor or retention at any time?
yes,but with the help of this forum i got a email of a supervisor and wrote her and they give me replacement that did not help at all. i even made a youtube video of if, YouTube - directv problem start watching 5:30-5:40 see how it just click in the middle program
Ok..had the same issue...not every night but just about and only on one of my DVRs....sent someone out and though he never saw anything like it he did do a sat switch in the set up, he also replaced the lnb and everything outside that had to do with the box. he wanted to cover all of the bases and I am not certain what did it but I have not had the problem since, this happened about a month ago....sounds to me like that sat switch would do the trick...
they already sent out tech Supervisor and couldn't fix the problem, oh well, this problem had been keep me from upgrading to DVR
