show similar threads feature

Is there any way to turn this "similar threads" thing off whenever I go to post a message in the FTA forum? Its annoying as @#! to have the page JUMP up whenever I start typing. I know there must be a reason for it that's helpful in the dtv/dishnet forums but I haven't found anything useful about it on the fta side.

It's there so people don't post duplicate threads about the same thing. I think it's a good feature.

maybe for you but I and others think it sucks donkey balls

I create a new thread and it gives me "similar" topic names....from 3 years ago. Hmmmmm....maybe that is why all of a sudden we have had an influx of topics being resurrected FOR NO GOOD REASON

I agree....turn the thing off...or allow us to turn them off.

Perfect example....

Until it got so damn cold out in the FTA area I had the "Friday FTA Fun poll"...so for fun I "started" a new thread...look at what popped up

2 older threads (there has been 2 FFFP since then)
2 really old threads from June...again we did this all summer
1 thread that I have no clue what the hell it has to do with FTA
