I have a Gecen SW-03/P 22 khz switch, when I connect it , the signal level on a weak FTA channel goes down from 31 % to 26 %.........which is 16 % loss.
Just wondering if this is normal for a 22 khz switch, and what kind of losses others have with different brands of 22 khz switches ?
Thanks!

There is insertion loss with any inline device (especially a switch). Are you experiencing a SIGNAL STRENGTH loss or a SIGNAL QUALITY loss? If it is just strength, I wouldn't worry about it. Quality is what is important, and as long as you don't have a very long cable run, it should not matter.

I have a 4x4 multiswitch which is a big 22k switch (non powered) and dont have any signal loss for any of my 4 receivers running off of it

I have a Sadoun 22k on my Starchoice setup (to switch between 107.3 & 111.1 sats) and there was no loss between that and running the line directly (the ebno # was the same on both)
